Rob WoodDr. Rob Wood grew up in Salt Lake City where he attended Highland High School. After serving a two year mission in Washington DC, he resumed his undergraduate education as a medical biology major at the University of Utah.

He then attended Temple University, School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Doctorate of Dental Medicine. After four wonderful years on the east coast, Dr. Wood elected to continue his education in periodontics and implant dentistry.

He spent three years in residency training under some of the finest periodontists in the country at Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. There, he also received a Master of Science at the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and obtained certification in IV conscious sedation. His research on different types of bone grafting materials may change the way bone grafting is performed prior to dental implant placement.

Dr. Wood is passionate about sports, especially U of U football. He enjoys playing tennis and golf with his family. As an outdoor enthusiast he spends his free time hiking, camping, biking, and most of all, fly fishing. The only thing he loves more than fishing is spending time with his beautiful wife Chelsea and their four children.
